You CAN beat cancer, especially if diagnosed in the early stages

If anyone has told you that it’s over for you because you have been diagnosed with cancer of the prostate, this article will show you how and why you can still win.

>> Beat Cancer. Prostate Cancer Survivor Shows how. Click here

Lots of others have won and survived this condition, you can as well.

Question: My father has just been diagnosed with the very first stages of prostate cancer, and the Dr told him it is up to him what treatment he wants to have. He advised monitoring him every 3 months, which my father wasn’t really happy about. He is 56, very healthy strong man, and would like to know more about the new treatment that involves implanting seeds.

Answer: First things first, I am very happy that your father’s case was detected pretty early. If it’s indeed the first stages of the condition, then there’s a VERY HIGH likelihood of surviving prostate cancer. So, that’s a good thing.

If your father isn’t knowledgeable about the condition, then it’s not a good thing for the doctor to say it’s up to him what treatment he wants. He’s relying on the doctor for advice and help, so the doctor should provide good advice and help.

 >> Beat Cancer. Survivor tells how. Click here

I also don’t recommend "only" monitoring, which is also called "watchful waiting". It’s better to commence the "right" treatment right away, as this will improve his chances of surviving the cancer, especially as it hasn’t spread dangerously to other parts of his body. And of course, the right treatment will depend on lots of factors – which your father and the doctor(s) will work out.

About new prostate cancer treatment involving implanting seeds, it’s called BRACHYTHERAPY – the placing (or implanting) of radioactive seeds in the victim’s prostate gland. Also called "internal radiation therapy", "seed implant therapy", or "interstitial radiation therapy" brachytherapy seems more effective for lots of people because it basically spares the healthy and nearby tissues, than other forms of treatment.

I would suggest your father discusses this treatment option and others with the doctor(s) to know which will be best for him, under the circumstances, before going ahead with any

Metastases means cancer spread, and with prostate cancer these can occur when the tumour is small.

To determine whether the cancer has become an advanced metastatic cancer, a bone scan is used.

If it is found that the cancer has spread to the bone then the disease will be treated as an advanced metastatic disease, even if the tumour in the prostate itself is relatively small.

There are two different stages of prostate cancer spread (or metastases), denoted by:

M0 – The cancer has not yet spread outside the pelvic area

M1 – The cancer has spread outside the pelvic area

In the case of an advanced metastatic prostate cancer, the M1 label is used.

In this scenario, it is considered unlikely that the cancer will be able to be cured by traditional means.

Alternative natural treatments may be worth researching.

Once the cancer has spread to the bone, treatment for advanced metastatic cancer centres on slowing the cancers growth and reducing symptoms rather than a cure.

Treatment also aims at prolonging life, and increasing its quality. Possible treatments for advanced metastatic prostate cancer that can slow the tumours growth are:

Radiotherapy, Hormone treatment, Chemotherapy

And there are some natural alternatives for cancer treatment that may be worth investigating too.

All prostate cancer treatments have associated side effects, so no one will force a patient into taking a particular therapy. The best course of action will be advised by the doctor, but ultimately the decision to have or not to have treatment is the patients.
